The 4th Annual ACA@UBC International Symposium, Unpacking the Digital Shoebox: The Future of Personal Archives, will bring together experts in digital archives in order to open a dialogue and discuss the rapidly changing issues in the management of personal archives. Assembling minds that are both experienced and innovative – including Philip Bantin from Indiana University, Beth Yakel from the University of Michigan, Babak Hamizadeh from the University of Maryland, Eric Borglund from Mid-Sweden University and several others - we shall begin to unpack the digital shoebox and understand the future of personal archives.
