Dear Colleagues,

The Technology and Archives Special Interest Section of the Association of Canadian Archivists (ACA) is excited to invite you to its annual The Archives and Technology Unconference (TAATU), which will be hosted both online and in person.

TAATU is a free, laid-back event for all archival workers interested in technology and digital culture to meet other professionals, exchange ideas, and have some geeky fun. It is an ad-hoc gathering born from the desire for people to share and learn in an open environment. No minimum IT experience is required: alpha-geeks and wannabe-geeks are equally welcome. Content is entirely participant-led and driven with discussions, presentations, demos, and interaction from attendees. It is a place where you can bring real-archives problems and work toward solving them with colleagues.

If you'd like to check it out and join us, please see the TAATU 2025 - Google Doc for more details and to sign up to participate.

When: Monday, June 9, 2025, from 12:30 to 2:30 PM EDT (-04:00 UTC)

Where: In person at RB 2220 in Richcraft Hall, Carleton University, and online via Zoom through the event page on ACA's website.

If you have any further questions about this event or issues, please contact Allie at TaASIS.Chair@archivists.ca.

Hope to see you there!
